WEATHER: Beautiful early autumn day with temps in the 60s, light breezes.
DISTANCE: 8 miles (only halfway this time) 
DIFFICULTY: moderate to challenging
CAUTIONARY TALE: Remember the sour woman who walked up to the edge of the overlook to Lake of the Clouds? She spit out "that's it? We came all the way for that? I guess I expected magic and rising mist. This is just a lake." Friend, don't ever stop seeing the beauty in front of you because you are under an unhappy delusion of expected perfection. (P.S. It was magic, btw.)
