ECOLOGY AND WILDLIFE AT CLT
Although the contiguous forest has stresses from logging operations, CLT is in the heart of the Ottawa National Forest, nearly 1 million acres.

You never know what you might see. A wolf trotting through camp, stopping long enough to watch the human drink coffee in its natural habitat. Otters might be playing, in pairs or by the octet. A beaver felling a birch tree at midnight might test your heart if you happen to be nearby when he gives you an unhappy slap before swimming away. Next time, it might be a ruffed grouse exploding from a thicket.
